The reason the International Beatbox Association is created are two-fold:
- to aid beatboxers in getting paid work, and thereby
- to help beatboxing attain the public level of credibility as a musical art form deserved of remuneration, as already enjoyed by more mainstream instrumentation.
Through the IBA beatboxers may be contacted by individuals wishing to book them, without artists having to make their personal contact details publicly available.
In this way, beatboxers can safely be contacted by promoters, agents, talent scouts, record labels, etc. worldwide.
The IBA should only be utilized by those wishing to book beatboxers for paid gigs.
All members of the IBA are of a professional standard and are actively gigging. As such, our artists should receive commensurate remittance for their work.
If you are unwilling or unable to pay for our artists' services, then the IBA is not for you.
Continue on to the search page where you may search for artists by location. You will then be provided with a list of artists.
Clicking on an artist's name will bring up their profile. You may listen to artists' audio clips by clicking on the earphones at the bottom of their profile. Similarly, you may contact artists by clicking on the pen on the right hand side of their profile.
Once you have contacted an artist via this site you will be emailed an activation/confirmation link. An artist is only contacted once this link is clicked upon. This is a basic security feature to prevent misuse of the site.
It is then up to the artist(s) in question to get back in contact with you.
We ask that you do not contact artists unless you have an interest in booking them.
Of course, contacting an artist does not place you under any obligations to book them, but we ask that you initial intention in contacting an artist is with the intention of booking them.
Our artists are busy and do not have time to respond to idle enquiries.
We will not tolerate any misuse or abuse of the IBA or any unprofessional conduct. We also ask that you treat our artists with respect at all times.
Complaints arising from misuse of the IBA will be thoroughly investigated and guilty parties will be banned from any further use of the IBA.
The service is currently free; paid for in full by
mic(ism).
Similarly, no percentage or fees are expected to be paid to
mic(ism) when artists are booked through the IBA.
If you would like to help support the IBA and sport a dope garment at the same time, please feel free to purchase one of our IBA
