The first tournament of 2006 is just around the corner. On January 14th, the HaJa Center in Seoul will be the venue for the 2nd Korean "Just Beatbox" Battle Tournament. A daytime event from 2 - 6pm, the proceedings will be presided over by MHDragon and feature special guests Beatboxer DG and Beat Mini. For more details, visit MssKool.Com.
Back in the West, Adam Matta is getting the New Year well under way with a free show together with Aaron Comess at 9pm on January 19th. So head on down to Nightingale Lounge in the heart of the East Village of New York City for heavy funk/world drums, beatbox, loop pedals wizardry, plus vocal horns and f/x. As Adam says, "show's free, place is swank, crowd is live, hope to see you."
Another date with Adam for your diaries: February 5th will see Adam and violinist, Julie Carney, at ABC No Rio's COMA series. Good to see Adam on track for 2006!
Also, if you haven't already picked up a copy of your own, Adam's CD, Rage Against the Drum Machine, is still available through our online store, together with the Live at the Living Room DVD in which he also heavily features. Both quality releases.
